The Foundation Course prepares Mauritian students for progression into undergraduate degrees at Federation University Australia and other institutions when they do not meet entry requirements (e.g., ATAR or IELTS). Eight courses build core academic skills, English proficiency, and foundational knowledge across key disciplines.
The program is tailored to the local context and aligns with AQF Level 5. It develops critical thinking, communication, and digital literacy for tertiary study.
Designed for students whose first language is not English and who do not hold an Australian Year 12 equivalent.

While IELTS is not mandatory, we assess English proficiency through our placement test. Students with IELTS 5.5 or equivalent may be eligible for direct entry.
Yes, we have intakes in both February and July each year. Applications for July close in May.
