Pathway Programme

Foundation Course

The academic launchpad for higher education — built for students moving from secondary school into a Federation University Australia qualification.

Not every student arrives ready to step straight into a Diploma or Bachelor programme — and that's exactly what the Foundation Course is for. Over two semesters, you'll strengthen the academic writing, mathematics, research and study skills that higher education assumes you already have, in a small-class environment on our Curepipe campus.

  • Small, supported classes with dedicated academic mentors
  • English for Academic Purposes taught alongside core content
  • Guaranteed pathway into our Diploma programmes on successful completion
  • Same standards expected at Federation University Australia's Australian campuses

Six core units delivered across two semesters, combining academic skills with an introduction to business and technology disciplines.

  • English for Academic Purposes
  • Foundations of Mathematics
  • Study & Research Skills
  • Communication & Digital Literacy
  • Introduction to Business Concepts
  • Introduction to Information Technology

The Foundation Course is a pathway qualification. Graduates progress directly into either of our Diploma programmes, with no additional entry test required.
