Foundation Course
Equivalent to SC/GCE O’Level & Recognized by Federation University of Australia
OCEP Foundation Certificate
This certification aims at preparing a student to meet the demands of further academic study. Students will be assessed on their ability to communicate ideas, feelings, observations and information effectively, both orally and in writing. It allows anyone who has not completed an HSC to complete the OCEP’s offered subjects for equivalence of HSC (Cambridge A’Level). It also meets the entry requirements to start a Diploma in Business Administration or a Diploma in Information Technology from Federation University of Australia.
The below six mandatory subjects will be covered:
- Accounts
- Business Studies
- Economics
- Mathematics
- Arts
- Travel and Tourism
Plus, any two of the following subjects:
- Sociology
- Law
- Design and Tech
The Foundation course can be completed in two semesters or one year normally and exams are held every 6 months. Students can attempt the exams once they have cleared the required subjects, and they will be issued a Foundation certificate and be eligible for entry for starting the Diploma courses.
